rehoming program

There are 2 options for getting cats or kittens into our adoption program. Both require work on your part and fostering for at least some time.

If you are looking for information or help with Community Cats /TNVR please see our TNVR page

Option 1 – We can help anyone who needs to find a new home for a cat that is fully vetted, adoptable, and you are willing to foster until the cat is adopted.

Fully vetted means you have proof of spay/neuter, testing and negative results for FIV and FeLV, micro-chipped, and that the cat up to date on vaccines. We must have a copy of the the vet records showing this, prior to accepting the cat into the program. Cats must be indoor only, litter box trained and friendly. We show cats for adoption at PetSmart in New Tampa, on weekends, rotating through all the felines we have available. This is a busy store. Some cats do not do well in this environment. We are willing to try to show your cat when we have a vacancy at our adoption center, but you must be willing to pick up your cat if it does not do well in this environment. We will continue to post the cat for adoption on all the adoption sites and try to find alternatives for showing the cat if this should occur. We require a complete foster application, a surrender form, and a copy of your driver’s license.

Please e-mail fostertorehome@tampacatcrusaders.org of fax forms to 888-257-4517 to get a cat or kittens into our program. Please be sure to include your phone number so we may contact you.

Option 2 – We can also help anyone who is willing to maker some type of donation to help cover the vet costs and foster a cat or kittens you are trying to get into our program.

Again, the cat or kittens must be indoor only, litter box trained and friendly. We can work with you on recommending where to go to get the cats and kittens spayed/neutered and up-to-date on shots. We can even provide financial assistance for covering the cost of vetting the cat or kittens in exchange for your volunteering with us at our store. We require a complete foster application, a surrender form, and a copy of your driver’s license to participate in this as well.

Please e-mail fostertorehome@tampacatcrusaders.org of fax forms to 888-257-4517 to get a cat or kittens into our program. Please be sure to include your phone number so we may contact you.

Either option will require you to complete a foster to surrender form which can be found here. If you wish to pursue option 1 or 2 please download the form, fill it out (include cat(s) name(s), DOB(s), descrption(s)) and send it (including any medical records you have) to Cat Crusaders via fax 888-257-4517 or email to fostertorehome@tampacatcrusaders.org

As with most groups, all our fosters are full, and we are not accepting cats without a foster at this time. Yes, we know there are many out there, but unfortunately we do not have the resources to save them all, we try to save as many as we can.
